I recently became a first time mom to the best baby ever in November 2013! He goes by the name of Evan James.

Becoming a mom was the best thing I have ever done and I am glad I chose this time in my life to do it because, although it is a rewarding job, it isn’t an easy one.

I’m also a mom to two four legged children, Brody (Pug) and Nicky (Boston Terrier).

Brody is very special. I have always wanted a pug growing up, probably every since I saw that movie “Men in Black,” but never had the time I knew I needed in order to take care of him because I was going to school after work most days. It wasn’t until after I got married that I knew I could finally get him and it was love at first site!

Now Nicky, she tolerates me. She is my husband’s dog before we met. (I secretly think she believes that she is his wife).

So, when I am not at home playing with my son or snuggling with my pug, I am out working my other job as a CPA. (Not a tax return preparer CPA but the other kind, the kind that people cringe when they hear the name. Yes, thats right, I’m an auditor). But hopefully not for long.

I recently decided to try something new since having my son. Something I never thought I would see myself doing. I became an Advocare Independent Distributor.

Ever since I became a mom, my priorities of wanting to move up in my company and have a career have changed.

I was able to cut my hours at my job temporarily and stay home with my son a couple days a week but I still feel like I am missing out on the best years of his life. The thought of having to put him in day care in the near future when I go back to work full-time just breaks my heart.

So I decided to join the Advocare team and make my dream of being a stay at home a reality 🙂
